Songs of Love remembers New York Firefighters Vernon Cherry and Leon Smith

As a tribute to New York firefighters Vernon Cherry and Leon Smith, lost in the September 11th World Trade Center tragedy, Songs of Love is making available a free download of the "Song of Love" recorded by Vernon, Leon and fellow firefighters for leukemia patient Crystal Ann Perez.

They are both from Ladder 118. Other members are from Ladder 9/Engine 33. Besides being one of New York's Bravest, Vernon Cherry was a singer in a professional show band. Their gift of song will be treasured forever. We thank them all for going above and beyond the call of duty.
Our deepest sympathies go out to their families.

"Britney Spears" Campers Write, Record and Perform a "Song of Love" for an Ailing Child

This year, the Songs of Love Foundation partnered with The Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts to offer campers a unique opportunity to develop their musical talents while helping an ill child.

On Saturday, August 25, Britney Spears attended a special performance at her Massachusetts camp, which included the campers performing an original song they wrote, recorded and produced with the Songs of Love Foundation. The song was created for 6-year-old Stephen Baker, who has been recovering at the Franciscan Children's Hospital in Boston from
acute encephalitis.

It was a special moment when the children jumped off the stage and presented Stephen with his personalized CD and covered him with hugs and kisses.
